Château Grand Bigard: # 4 of 10 - 2014

To enter the grounds of Château Grand Bigard you need to cross the stone bridge. The first thing you will see is the old Fortified Gate House built in the Fourteenth century. You will also be able to see a Fortified tower off to the left which is the Keep and is the oldest building. It was built around 1347.
The recorded history of Grand Bigard begins around 1110 with the first lord of Grand Bigard, Almaric de Bigard and has seen a succession of forty different owners since.
