Royal Fort Gradens: # 2 - 2014

As you head away from Fort Royal House down the brick path that leads you down a gentle slope you will see huge scattering of Purple, lavender, pale blue, white and white with purple stripped crocuses under the trees.

At the end of the path you find the boundary of the Gardens. The path forks here with one arm heading off to the right, along the side with the mass of crocuses that are shouting for your attention. But off to the left there is a short path between bushes that leads to a small round lawn with a small sculpture. It is all nestled in a miniature vale of  greenery which is easy to miss when you have the colorful Crocuses vying for your attention.

Cherry Bossoms in Bristol

While most of the trees are still bare some have flower buds while a few cherry trees are showing off clothing their naked limbs with a delicate profusion of white or pink blossoms. It might not be as stunning as some of the places in Japan, nor do I think any one in the United Kingdom is holding Hanami under these trees which could be awkward since most of the ones I have seen are on street trees growing either on the sidewalks or in gardens by the sidewalk.

Flowers by the Physics Building: 1

I had to go by the Physics building today so I took my camera ... well okay ... I admit I was actually within a three block radius but it I thought I'd take a little detour on the way back and stop by to see if there were any floral developments or critter activity since I was there last time.
I am glad I did because some other flowers and popped up and the daffodils were as ever, in their full glory.

At the entrance of the drive way that leads Royal Fort House is the Fort Royal Lodge which houses the University of Bristol Security Services.
